Beyond the town, the scenery is unspoilt with almond orchards and olive groves descending to quiet coves. The site of the ancient city of Knidos, famous in antiquity for its statue of Aphrodite, sits at the very tip of the Resadiye peninsular and is a popular day-trip.There is a car-ferry several times a week from Bodrum in summer.
